Kate Beckinsale
After completely ambushing me in "Underworld" (2003), Kate Beckinsale flexes her action muscles once again in the ridiculous monster romp, "Van Helsing" (2004), with stunning results. Her eyebrows alone out-acted everyone else in the film, and I'm anxiously looking forward to seeing her continue to hone her action persona. She is exactly what the industry needs more of right now, while "Van Helsing" is a prime example of what we need less of.
