Nocturnal Demon (HK 1991)

Rating: **
Director: Ricky Lau
Cast: Moon Lee, Alfred Cheng, cameos by Richard Ng, Yuen Wah, Billy Lau, Corey Yuen, Cho Wing

Moon Lee is on the run from the fashion police in this film. Her haircut is embarassing and her outfits are atrocious. She does, however, get to fight like mad several times in the film, and is just overflowing with charm. Moon Lee comes to Hong Kong to visit her blind grandfather and her idiot cousin (Alfred Cheng). Too bad for Cheng that a savage slasher that looks just like him (fantastic Cho Wing) is running around town cutting up women and feeding them to his pet fish. Moon Lee finally takes him out in a free-for-all fight featuring her wearing thigh high plastic boots and a Cher wig! (love those boots, baby!) Tedious, goofy, and painfully stupid, but saved by three or four well executed fights.

Moon Lee on roller skates
Even when she's rollerskating, Moon Lee can pose a serious threat.
