An American Werewolf In London (1981)

A darkly humorous and grisly horror film about a couple of American tourists who get attacked by a werewolf somewhere in Great Britain. One of them gets brutally torn apart, while the other one only suffers from a bite. He then starts having really scary hallucinations and finally becomes a werewolf himself. The effects are great, and the transformation scenes were groundbreaking for the time. A little too gruesome for my tastes, but it featured some great moments and is a good looking film.
