Not surprisingly, this sequel doesn't quite measure up to the original, but it's still an exciting adventure film. This time Indy delves into Indian magic and mythos accompanied by faint-hearted shrieker Kate Capshaw and a young Asian boy called Short Round. Indy must save a poor Indian village and rescue its kidnapped children by stealing back a magical stone from a secret sacrificial temple of Shiva. Outlandish stunts and violence highlight this film, but it really does get a little too strange and silly in parts. Still highly entertaining though.
