One of the very last pieces of Amiga artwork that I did before abandoning computer
art altogether, and then picking it up again on Windows a few years later. Being an
Amiga supporter in the mid 90's was a bleak and dreary occupation. Commodore went out
of business and the Amiga chip set changed hands several times with good intentions,
but nothing ever came of it. Gateway even ended up with it at one point. One by one
the hardware and software developers disappeared, leaving the hardcore community to
rely only on itself to keep the dream alive. It eventually became too much for me to
bear and I just had to walk away.
Anyway, I drew this for my 1996 holiday greeting card, and I think it's one of the
best freehand figure drawings I've ever done. While the coloring is overly simplistic,
I really like how the whole thing turned out.
