This is my tribute to the late, great Patrick Nagel, a master of art deco and strong
women. I think I nailed his aesthetic pretty well except for the eyes, which definitely
reflect my own style and taste. I learned a lot about line, as well as the absence of
line, with this image and I think my future noses will benefit. If I'd really
wanted to channel Nagel, I would have done this with acrylics on canvas, but I wasn't
sure I could pull it off so I colored it in Photoshop instead. This drawing also serves
as a cathartic attack against my high school art teacher who always complained about my
line work. Well, here's an entire line drawing for you! BWA HA HA!!! Hmmm, I
apparently still have some deep unresolved issues to deal with...
