Shotgun Girl

Shotgun Girl

Hmmm, nothing new here. Let's see... the hair, the eyes, the shirt, the bra, the tights, the socks, the boots, the flat 2D gun, the nondescript pedestal - yep, it's all there. I guess there's something to be said for consistency. After suffering from several weeks of springtime blues and a complete lack of focus in my life, I decided to force myself to sit down and draw in an attempt to find inspiration and refuel my creativity. My first attempt was less than satisfying, but as I was flipping through a Frederick's Of Hollywood catalog looking for a clothing reference, I stumbled across a picture that did inspire me. So once again I cheated a drawing by modifying a photo reference from a fashion catalog (back to that "consistency" thing). It quickly started to take shape and I became exceedingly pleased with the results. I hadn't drawn a shotgun in several years, and the SPAS-12 looked like a gun this girl would enjoy handling.
