Undressed To Kill

Undressed To Kill
(with apologies to Vivian Chow)

First of all, what a corny title - but it's the only thing I could come up with. Honestly. I wanted to scale up this drawing to capture more emotion and detail in the face, but her blank expression makes it very difficult to tell what she's thinking or feeling. Maybe that just adds to the suspense. (however, I was aiming for something much more intense, so in that regard I failed miserably) Surprisingly, the biggest challenge in this drawing was the outfit, or lack thereof. I had originally put her in a tank top, then a sports bra, and then I decided to put her in a sexy lacy bra, which reflected my growing frustration with the whole situation. I drew about three different kinds of bras which were all very cute, but it still didn't feel right. It finally dawned on me that wrapping her in a sheet was the "punch" that the image really needed, and I think it dramatically increases the tension, anxiety, and urgency of the piece.
