Christmas 2006
The original concept for this year's card was a variation of my
Cross Your Heart drawing,
accompanied by one of the worst tag lines I've ever come up with. I'm both
proud and ashamed of that fact. While the drawing represents some of my finest
coloring work, in October I decided to try and recreate the image photographically.
The gloves proved to be a challenge, because no one actually makes them with fur
trim like that. I finally ended up constructing them myself, and I'm happy with
the results. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to find a model who was interested
in the concept, and she pulled it off beautifully. Now I just have to come up
with an idea for next year...
